A little Piece of Rat
Terrier History!
During the 1910s and
1920s, the Rat Terrier was one of the most common farm dogs. Because
Kansas Jack Rabbits were plaguing crops in the Midwest, to increase the
speed and versatility of the Rat Terrier, some Farmers began breeding them
to Whippets, Italian Greyhounds and other "snap dog" breeds. Around the
same time, others in the Central and Southern regions, bred their Rat
Terriers to Beagles to bring out a stronger prey and pack drive for
hunting purposes. These early crosses eventually gave the breed the speed
and "nose", as well as the good disposition they are known for today. A
non-sparing, playful, happy-go-lucky, devoted companion that is also
protective, and yet can be aloof with strangers. They are an efficient,
intuitive hunter as well as an energetic and intelligent companion, at
home in the city or country.

Happy Puppy Buyers
We would like to share our extremely positive
experience with purchasing a toy rat terrier from Denice Jentlie and
Minidistractions.
My husband
and I recently bought "Twiggy" from Denice and have great things to say
about the quality service we received. Everything was done in a timely
manner, the safe shipping of our pup from Arizona to Virginia and the
arrival of all the paperwork, receipts, etc. The use of PayPal made
making the deposit and final payment with ease and security. We were in
touch throughout the whole process through phone calls and email.
Our pup is
healthy and very well socialized! It's obvious that alot of time was
spent with her. We absolutely love her and are extremely pleased with the
whole experience! We highly recommend Minidistractions to everyone!
Sincerely,
Ed and
Laurie Wagner
